Might be better tbh. Their setlist will have 1 or 2 changes from the Eastpak Antidote tour, including SBM and perhaps one other song thrown in there (not new).

If I recall correctly, didn't Matt say that they play to play festivals in Europe this summer?

I think so, I can see them coming over to Europe again for a headlining tour later in the year, maybe Winter time. depends when they're planning a full Amercia tour though.

it isn't normal practice for fans to come to soundcheck, unfortunately. i'm their guest at the show. i don't know a time i'll be there yet... you can probably guess with sum 41 things are decided pretty last minute, so matt's only gonna message me when he actually knows what's going on. i'll basically be available when they whenever they wanna see me :P

The first show in Paris was labeled as a private show, sold out with only 200 people, and there were no supporting acts.
The show in Underworld is a private one too, so it could be that there won't be any supporting bands either?

I was thinking this, did the recent shows in Spain have any support bands?

As much as Last.fm can be reliable, it lists a band named Fitacola as support on both Portugal dates, and a band called No Regrets for the Spanish dates.

What? Is this a question? Of course you're going to the show?

(and do you really think you would get any other answer from a Sum 41 fansite? :silly: )

Being a university scholar, I'm looking for reasoned debate

Cons
It's quite expensive to get from here to London
I saw the Sums in October
Their setlist will largely be the same, except with SBM in for something.

Pros
It's Sum 41
It's SBM

You forgot one pro: it's a very small venue !!!
I'm in Birmingham and I know that it's expensive, I will travel with virgin trains, I have for £45 of train tickets. That's not bad actually, compared to what I pay usually

It's all about your priorities.

I don't care that much about the setlist. The show will rock out no matter what they play.
And for me, time between shows is not an issue. I've been at 5 shows in the last 6 months, and I'd still be ready to go to a show as soon as possible.
And I'm willing to spend all my money for the Sums, since it's one of the few things I truly love. I'm not saying it's a wise thing to do, but I wouldn't regret it.

I'd say it's all about the date. If you can't be away from uni that day, or you have some work to do that can't be done any other time, then it's reasonable to skip the show. But otherwise I'd say go for it!

I agree with Tomi. I don't care spending so much money for the Sums, because I love them. I don't have too much courses this week, I agree, it helps !
