Sum 41 is my favorite band ...but Rise Against rocks too ! why should we do some shit like this ???Both of the bands are just great
This is Mark Allen Hoppus. He likes long walks on the beach. This, this is travis barker. He likes to be read poetry just before sunset. And me, I like to stick small pieces of furniture up my butt.

I spy on my dad while he is taking a shower just like everyone else
Mark: Sometimes when I talk in 3rd person i end up calling tom mark
Tom:Yea than he starts touching me and i think thats masturbation
Some people think were idiots or perverts dont argue were both.
"i think we're gonna be one of those bands thats around forever and even makes records, even if noones buying them and using them for toilet paper...but we'll still make them because we'll be the best fuckin toilet paper anyones ever used...." - Tom Delonge

I think Rise Against is better but Sum 41 got me into music and their music is still amazing (especially Chuck and DTLI?) so they'll always hold a special place for that

If he says they have better lyrics then Sum 41, well thats his opinion. Personally, I like both bands but I grew up listening to Sum 41.

But seriously, people are entitled to their own opinions. If he thinks Rise Against is better, just leave him be, he's got his opinion, you've got yours. I personally never listened to Rise Against, so I can't really say :P

Rise Against is obviously better. Their first 3 albums are great. It's a pity that the Sufferer & the Witness is not that good, and Appeal to Reason is shit. They're going downhill.

They both play different styles of music so I can't really answer that.

Dude, I love TS&TW. It's better than ATR. The Good Left Undone and Prayer Of The Refugee?

I liked The Sufferer and the Witness, not as much as Siren Song, but more than Appeal to Reason. Though right now I enjoy listening to Appeal to Reason more than to Underclass Hero.

I enjoy Rise Against, and give them a ton of listens a day. But threads like these are just fuel for argument.

Appeal to Reason is their best album by far! I love Rise Against for the three albums I like by them (SSotCC, PotR, AtR) but I have known and loved Sum 41 for nearly 10 years so, although they are a VERY different band (RA with their political-enivonmental messages and abstract lyrics etc.) Sum 41 is undoubtedly the winner for me.

Yeah, TS&TW is easily better than ATR. But The Unraveling and Revolutions per Minute are their best albums, no doubt. Siren Song of the Coutnter Culture is the second best. With TS&TW they went mainstream. I really miss Tim screams from that album, but it's still a good one. Appeal to Reason is just shit.

Appeal to Reason is the best? Haha, lolzzzzz. That's the worst. And which album is PotR? Prayer of the Refugee? As far as I know that's not an album...

Nah I loved Appeal to Reason, but I think their three newest albums are of similar standard, just slightly different musically. And sorry, I meant TSatW... Dunno why I said that. I'm just saying I thing ATR is my preferred style of music, but the other two are still really good.
