I don't understand this 'invite' thing. I joined Spotify almost 2 years ago and didn't need any sort of invitation.

nor did I, but that was when Spotify was just starting up and was pretty unkown so they let anyone sign up. now you need invites, no idea why.

Have Spotify changed the settings in the UK aswell so you only get 10 hours a week and only five listens to the same song if you don't pay?

Spotify is currently only available in Sweden, Spain, Norway, Finland, France, the Netherlands, United Kingdom and the United States. In Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland the Premium service was offered until July 2009, but never the free version. Currently only customers with credit cards issued in one of the above-mentioned launch countries can buy a Premium account.

I just pay Â£4.99, I only ever use it on the computer so I don't bother with the mobile version. Â£4.99 is a fuckin bargain though for what you get. you have to be a complete fuckin cunt to moan about that!
