Heavy Pickup?
I'm looking for a heavy sounding picukp for my Epiphone Les Paul Junior and I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction. I don't want a heavy metal sound just like a hard rock sound. I just got an SH-4 for my Whibley Signature and I was gonna get another one for my Junior but I decided I wanted something with a hard rock sound as opposed to a punk sound. Any ideas?

Re: Heavy Pickup?
Seymour duncan makes some pretty bichin' pickups and on their site they'll limit em down to what you want the pickup to sound like, so check that out. blackouts are pretty heavy, btw...

Re: Heavy Pickup?
Active EMG if you want that higher gain output.
But for just a typical rock sound, I don't see why stock humbuckers can't do the job well.

Re: Heavy Pickup?
Dude if your into hard rock i recommed you to check out the new Seymour Duncan Blackouts on the Bridge and EMG 60 on the neck
Thats what I'll do to my new guitar. (EMG 60 for lead solos and clean)
They're active but i think it worth it..
If you're not into active pickups i recommend to check out alot of seymour duncans cause they're awesome! (also EMG HZ are good! Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom had them until he replaced them with S.D. Blackout)
Also, You've got two guitars, aren't you?
If you're afraid that the guitar will be too heavy (or her clean wouldn't be good..) you can do one of your 2 guitars into hard rock and 1 guitar with P-90s or stuff that sounds clean and very nice.
Well..
Sorry if my english is wrong.. I'm from Israel..
I hope i helped you!
