i cant find a decent video converter that dosent cost money, does anyone kno of one were it converts anything to anything?

i had the best possible program for downloading videos and converting to any format.
it was called cinemaforge lite
but it stopped working suddenly one day
mysteriously, when i searched the internet for help, mine wasnt the only one that broke that day...
now, i use nothing :(
i remember ken and nic mentioning a program called super (r), but i cant find it
