Convert .m4p to .mp3 (itunes files)

I downloaded an album from itunes and its in .m4p format.
I want to convert it to .mp3, how do i do that?

what the hells m4p? dont you mean m4a?

you could try this:

Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Importing

click on "Import using:" and choose MP3 Encoder.

then, go back into your library and select all the songs you want to convert, right click, you should see "Convert selection to mp3"

that usually works for me...

You mean .m4a?

If it's m4a i use Xilisoft Audio Converter.

i use total video converter for all my audio files
