I couldn't not have a new thread about this. The iPhone 4S has just been announced for release in a week or so and I am genuinely very excitied about many of the new features it holds.
I mean, wow, right? So many HTC or Blackberry owners always claim the iPhone has such limited functionality and speed compared to other phones - which could not be further from the truth. Siri, however, definately has to be my favourite new feature. I'm just hoping it recognises all voices and not just american models!
For me? Well I have a 2-year-old iPhone 3G at the moment which doesn't play music, connect to Wi-Fi, vibrate, or work faster than a speeding brick. So yeah, it's a sell.

I have a HTC Desire that rooted and got a custom AOSP ROM with a partitioned 512MB ext2 on the SD card with the davlik cache moved their too.
To be fair, most people on this forum know I don't like Apple. The same goes here too. For what you pay you don't get your money's worth.

definitely buying it. i could not be more disappointed with this HTC Legend. i bought a 3GS used off the internet a few months ago and sold it a few weeks ago just as the rumours started up about an october release. the 3GS, though two years old, worked much better than this less-than-one-year-old HTC. i have been in phone agony this last month having to use it.
im kind of disappointed that it wasn't a complete redesign/ brand new iphone 5, but i like the current design as well. paired with that camera, ios5, Siri, and whatever other shit im forgetting, i hopefully won't have to upgrade for another two years when the iphone 6s comes out (YOU KNOW IT WILL COME TO THAT).
