I honestly like both pretty much equally. It just suited him so well, it was different. Don't think he'd ever go back to that though. I love it exactly how it is in the Pieces music video, to answer your question.
Also, to whoever mentioned the ring, I've been wondering the same, if it was still the same one or a new one. Wonder what the significance of the one he's got now is.

I went back and looked and he wore it through some recording as well, (before he went to the Alice premier with Av) but took it off during SXSW and had just the chain then replaced the ring during the Euro 2010.... and wow I have too much time on my hands.
So was Avril Deryck's first ever real relationship? I don't remember him dating anyone else in his life besides Paris Hilton and that was mostly sex (as is all of Paris Hilton's relationships). Before that he was just banging groupies wasn't he?

That's right. He didn't date even when he was teen. I remember Stevo saying in 2001 or 2002 that Deryck hasn't had a girlfriend in 5 years. But then again does that mean Pieces doesn't really have any meaning behind it? And isn't Crazy Amanda Bunkface about Derycks ex-gf? All these thoughts stuck in my mind, spinning round...

Wow, I really disrespect that station for what I've heard about all the talk they do about Deryck. Absolutely nothing to do with his musicial abilities what so ever. Really says something when they say this while on the air. Ridiculous. If I heard it for myself, I would definately call them up.
