Well they often do minor hardware revisions in the last couple of weeks in september but you'd probably want to wait till a while to ensure you get the newer hardware version (Unless you can get a look at the model number before you take the contract)I got a newer model of the 3GS in mid november but that was on the 1st day it was released on a new network...
However, i have no problems with my 4, i just stuck some clear tape along the left side, cant tell it's there.

I had a iPhone for 7 days before I decided nah and got a BlackBerry instead. I sold the iPhone since it "fell off the back of a lorry" I sold it and got £200.

No, actually, a second good friend of mine died of cancer yesterday while the first one was buried one day before my birthday. But thanks for being all tactful and shit, i apprecate it.
