Decent Marshall Amps are pretty expensive. The affordable MG Series apparently sucks balls, so I don't suggest that. I've been thinking of getting this for myself:

It's a tube combo amp and it's $700.

PS - I thought about getting an Orange amp, but they're pretty expensive for a decent one. They might not be in your price range unless you want a Tiny Terror or something, haha.

If you want to upgrade from an existing amp, definitely go for a tube amp of some kind (assuming that your previous amp was a solid state). Most beginner amps are solid state.

I've also heard that the MG series sucks.

You can't go wrong with a Marshall JCM800 or JCM 900 (used).

Just get a normal large amp. You'd prolly save some too.
