CD ripping

Post by TomiT14 »

What program do you guys use to rip CDs?
Or what is the best one?

I've been using CDex, but I'm not sure which settings should I use for the best quality.
Anyone else use it? Whith what kind of settings?

Image

For Quality, the options are Low (q=9), Normal (q=5), High (q=2) and Very High (q=0).
For VBR method, the options are Default, Old, New, MTRH and ABR.
For VBR Quality is from 0-9.

Anyone knows what these all mean? Which settings should I use for the best quality?

Check here to try it out:

For ripping my music I use Windows Media Player MP3 encoder @ 192Kbps

And just cause I have a screenshot of it I use InfraRecorder to burn shit.

InfraRecorder is open source like quite a lot of the software on my computer. Doesn't have all the nice feature of Nero or Ashampoo but when I want burning software, I just want burning software and nothing else so I'm quite happy with it.

I hate Ipods.

I used nero since I can remember, it's the only programme I ever tried out and well I'm not complaining.
