i wouldn't really go as far as saying he was murdered, but there are alot of conspiracy theory's around his death, and is a really interesting read. id advise people to dig around abit and find out of the the facts/threory's

great band. I love like half of their songs. I agree that they are overrated. As for the singing and the lyrics I liked those alot, but guitar riffs like in Come As You Are are really some of the most simplistic you can find. I think what at least some people ment by "guitar god"(not in so many words) is that he managed to make such awsome music and yet keeping it very simple. As for kurt's early death/suicide however you wanna put it, that surely contributed to their fame/legendary status. But I really don't think that just beacuse of his suicide they suddenly went from sucky to the best ever in all aspects of their music.

Not overrated in my opinion. I think they would still be considered a legendary band if he didn't die but they really did change music forever and it saddens knowing I will never see them live. I love every Nirvana song. Kurt Cobain is a great songwriter.
