My first cover (it's God)

Post by Nic »

http://www.mediafire.com/?zyzymdqzyzw (audio, much better q)

Since the master tracks for Blink-182's Dammit were released I decided to take the drums/bass and record my guitar over it. I just got great great recording equipment for Christmas so the guitar actually sounds better then the original, in my opinion. I might eventually add my own vocals but for now enjoy.

There is NO guitar from the original recording in there, its 100% me. Keep that in mind. :smug:

Also, if you guys notice, I added a small part from Makes No Difference in there. :smug:

1. Graffiti Yellow Tom Delonge Custom Fender Stratocaster
2. Shure SM57 Instrument/Vocal Mic
3. Lexicon Alpha Audio Interface
4. Line 6 Spyder 75 Watt
5. Cubase LE 4 (Program)

No pedals for this one, just an amp preset. Although I have a Boss distortion pedal and a DigiDelay pedal.

Thanks Tyler. The only reason it sounds good is because of the mic and audio interface I got for Christmas. Together they are beastly.

The mic was $99 bucks and the lexicon is $67.

Mic - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Shure-SM57- ... 1126420.gc
Lexicon - http://www.guitarcenter.com/Lexicon-Alp ... 1126259.gc

If you get those, you will need a mic cable as well.

That sounds great, Nic. Good job.

But what is the mic for if you got this Lexicon recording deivce thing? It looks like you could just plug the guitar in there and thats it.

The mic makes a better professional sound.
