I'll write a song titled 27.
And I know I said I needed space,

but I know I can't be comfortable in my own skin.

So when I say I'm scared to be alone, you know I mean it,

I'm just not ready to leave my room.

you should listen to Rise Against, they are pretty good
Children of the beast embrace,
To scorn and the human race,
Consume the light that hugs the earth,
And aid the womb in giving birth,
To a group that will appear,
And guide you through this final year,
The dark armies then will come,
When the sum is 41

He's probably heard most of those artists because this site loves those bands for some stupid reason. I still have yet to figure out why people on here like those artists... branch out of the punk genre for a while. It's not the only genre of music that's good.

Wide range of genres, haha, although I like tons of different music, most of them are in the borders of rock, metal and punk, including stuff like hard rock, grunge, hardcore punk and million different kinds of metal (thrash, power, heavy, etc...).

The hip hop seems so out of place here, though haha.

the hip hop is basically mike shinoda (fort minor), and spacey rock is Angels and Airwaves (i don't think they are '"rock" or "pop" as their album states they are) and electronic and dance is what i classify some of my Nine Inch Nails' songs. i guess i shouldn't have put "orchestral" on that list, but i don't mind listening to it.

guys, The Ataris are actually really good. thanks, tom.

Yeah, if you want to get into some Blink-182, the Self-Titled album and Enema of the State are good albums to start with. The Pants and Jacket album has its moments, but I'm not too fond of it. Anthem Part Two is probably my favorite song off that album along with Story of a Lonely Guy.

Other bands and albums I suggest are:

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Rise Against - Siren Song of the Counter Culture
Rise Against - The Sufferer and the Witness
Rivers Cuomo - Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo
Spill Canvas - One Fell Swoop
Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
Goodnight Nurse - Keep Me on Your Side
