This is... well interesting. I think they could have done a better job, even if they were going for the 'FUCK YEAH WE'RE TOO 90S FOR THIS MILLENIUM, BITCH" feel.

i heard Rope on the radio while i was driving in my car, and Dave was right when he said that this record would "sound like a band playing". i felt as if i was listening to a live performance, and the quality and overall largeness was incredible. and that was over the radio! i can't wait to hear this album in CD quality over good speakers.

It has this old school 90s feel, I dunno. Kinda like some old VHS tape grunge video or whatever, hard to explain, but it has a very old school feel to it. Also reminds me of the Monkey Wrench video.

^ thats because the video was also shot on a old VHS recorder, and so was the monkey wrench video, i believe. i watched the Live MTV stream where they debuted the video at a party at a fans house. fucking lucky bastard.

Maybe cuz it has this retro feeling it's going back to The Colour and the Shape style, and if it'll awesome as that album... then, damn it'll be an awesome album!

i think im gonna do the same for this album as i did with Screaming Bloody Murder and wait until i buy it. so far i've only heard Rope and a few sucky live recordings of new songs. this album is gonna totally kick ass, it's sounds like it's gonna be the craziest, rawest, pure sounding record in a very long time.
