Steve Jocz
Steve Martin Jocz, or "Stevo 32", was born into the Jocz family on July 23rd, 1981 in Ajax, Canada. Although he was raised by conservative and Christian parents, he is a self-proclaimed atheist with left-wing political views. His rebellious nature comes in handy when partytime comes around. Although he is the youngest member of the band, he is considered by most fans to be the most fun and amusing member of the band. Steve co-founded Sum 41 with his best friend, Deryck Whibley, on July 31st, 1996. When Sum 41 was signed, he graduated a year early from Exeter High. He is engaged to Australian singer, Jessy Moss and they plan to marry in late 2008. Steve currently lives in Los Angeles.
Steve directed and produced music videos such as Sum 41's own "Underclass Hero" video and The Operation M.D.'s "Sayonara".

Quotes
"I guess they don't think it's appropriate for children, but I don't think rock shows should be for children. I guess there's a difference between our fans and Good Charlotte fans. Theirs might be younger. They may not be prepared for the real world."
"I think if you're in a band it's necessary that occasionally you do things that aren't self-serving. Just take a bit of your time and do something other than trashing a hotel room."
"I don't think too many things go out of style. They just start to suck, like bands." |
